| Eligibility for Admission : | i. | 10+2 with 50% aggregates marks in Physics & Mathematics or Graduation with PCM or Diploma in Engineering. | | ii. | Age should be between 17 to 24 years on 31st July 2010. |
| | Submission of Form: | Application for admission of AME course should be made in prescribed form which is available with the prospectus which can be obtained from admission office of Indian Institute of Aeronautics by paying Rs. 900/- or could be obtained by post by sending a D.D./M.O. of Rs. 990/- IN FAVOUR OF INDIAN INSTITUTE OF AERONAUTICS PAYABLE AT NEW DELHI. Students, who have obtained application form from institute's website, would submit the filled in application form to Indian Institute of Aeronautics, B-22, Main Rohtak Road, New Multan Nagar, New Delhi-110 056 along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 990/- paid IN FAVOUR OF INDIAN INSTITUTE OF AERONAUTICS PAYABLE AT NEW DELHI. A prospectus would be sent to the candidate on receipt of the requisite fees. NO APPLICATION WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT REQUISITE FEES. The duly filled in application forms could also be submitted at admission counter of any of the seven institutes of IIA Group. A registration number would be allotted to each applicant. Students who have already passed +2 exams with minimum 50 % aggregate marks in Physics & Mathematics would submit their +2 mark sheet. Students appearing +2 examinations in current session 2009-10, can also apply for admission. | | Admission Test: |  | Admission into the course is done on the specific date as mentioned in the admission letter. Total fees are to be submitted on the date of admission as per the fee details sent along with admission letter. All original marksheets including +2 marksheet to be verified before admission. An attested photo copies of all related document which include 10th marksheet, 10th certificate which shows the date of birth, +2 marksheet, to be submitted at the time of admission. Medical form duly filled in & properly signed by a doctor registered medical practitioner, holding at least a MBBS degree to be submitted in original. Color blind candidates are not eligible for admission.
Any other medical unfitness could be verified by the admission board. | | Choice of Centre & Stream: | | Choice of training centre from 7 Institutes and stream from Mechanical and Avionics stream, depends on student's choice, subject to availability. As per merit, the students are called for counseling & admission and seats and stream are allotted. | | Books & Uniform: | | Books for complete course & uniform (one time) are provided free of cost to the students at the time of admission. | | Withdrawal From The Course: | | This is a very challenging and professional course; therefore withdrawals from the course are almost nil. However, if any student wants to withdraw from the course then he/she submits an application to the Chief Instructor of the concerned institute with cause for such withdrawal. The refund of fees etc to be done as per rules mentioned in the refund rule clause of this prospectus. | | Rules & Regulation: |  | | The rules & regulations of the institute are tend to build up self discipline in the students which are extremely required for the purpose of achieving the objective. | | Rules of Refund | | | i) | The institute being a technical organization has got limited seats in every batch sanctioned by Director General of Civil Aviation & accordingly if a candidate leaves the course in between the same seat will go vacant for the whole course, accordingly an application for refund would be processed as per following parameters. | | | ii) | Request for refund, if any, is to be made within 15 days of admission or commencement of classes whichever is earlier. | | | iii) | In case a request is made within the said stipulated period, the candidate shall be entitled for a refund of 80% of the tuition fees paid to the institute. Application for refund beyond this period will not be entertained. The remaining 20% will be retained by the institute on account of administrative charges or expenses incurred by the institute in the entire process. | | | iv) | Admission fee is not refundable under any circumstance. | | | | |
