| Eligibility for Admission : | i. | 10+2 with 50% aggregates marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or Graduation with PCM or Diploma in Engineering. | ii. | Age should be between 17 to 24 years at the time of admission. |
| | Submission of Form: | Application for admission of AME course should be made in prescribed form which is available with the prospectus which can be obtained from admission office of Indian Institute of Aeronautics by paying Rs. 900/- or could be obtained by post by sending a D.D./M.O. of Rs. 990/- IN FAVOUR OF INDIAN INSTITUTE OF AERONAUTICS PAYABLE AT NEW DELHI. Students, who have obtained application form from institute's website, would submit the filled in application form to Indian Institute of Aeronautics, B-22, Main Rohtak Road, New Multan Nagar, New Delhi-110 056 along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 990/- paid IN FAVOUR OF INDIAN INSTITUTE OF AERONAUTICS PAYABLE AT NEW DELHI. A prospectus would be sent to the candidate on receipt of the requisite fees. NO APPLICATION WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT REQUISITE FEES. The duly filled in application forms could also be submitted at admission counter of any of the seven institutes of IIA Group. A registration number would be allotted to each applicant. Students who have already passed +2 exams with minimum 50 % aggregate marks in Physics & Mathematics would submit their +2 mark sheet. Students appearing +2 examinations in current session, can also apply for admission. | | Admission Test: |  | Students will be selected through an admission test of hundred marks, comprising of objective type questions (Multiple choice) of 80 marks and subjective type questions of 20 marks. Objective type questions cover the subjects like Physics, Mathematics, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning etc. An essay in English is to be written in the subjective type part. There is no negative marking. Duration of admission test is 2 hours. Candidates should use blue or black ball point pens for answering the question.
| | Choice of Centre & Stream: | | Choice of training centre from 7 Institutes and stream from Mechanical and Avionics stream, depends on student's choice, subject to availability. As per merit, the students are called for counseling & admission and seats and stream are allotted. | | | | | | Withdrawal From The Course: | | This is a very challenging and professional course; therefore withdrawals from the course are almost nil. However, if any student wants to withdraw from the course then he/she submits an application to the Chief Instructor of the concerned institute with cause for such withdrawal. The refund of fees etc to be done as per rules mentioned in the refund rule clause of this prospectus. | | | | Rules & Regulation: |  | | The rules & regulations of the institute are tend to build up self discipline in the students, which are extremely required for the purpose of achieving the objective. These are to be followed by every student on mandatory basis. No deviation is tolerated & may cause even termination from the institute. Parents will be called in, for violation of rules & regulation by their wards, as & when required. The AME Course is vast and duration is 3 years. | | | b) The candidate shall be entitled for refund of caution money (Rs. 4,000/-) at the time of leaving the institute, subject to clearance and, in appropriate cases, adjustments against dues from relevant departments of the institute. | | | | | | | | | Foreign Student | | | A foreign student may obtain the prospectus, along with the admission form, on payment of US $ 40. Further, financial arrangments to cover tuition fee (US $ 2750 per year), non-refundable admission fee (US $ 500), refundable caution deposit (US $ 250) must be tied up well before beginning of the course. Admission is structly subject to security clearance from Government of India, and compliance of all applicable legal requirements. | | | | | | | | | NOTE | | The amount as applicable may be paid either by "CASH" or "DEMAND DRAFT" drawn in favour of "INDIAN INSTITUTE OF AERONAUTICS" payable at "New Delhi".

| | | | Rules of Refund | | The institute being a technical organization has limited seats in every batch sanctioned by Director General of Civil Aviation & accordingly if a candidate leaves the course in between the same seat will go vacant for the whole course, accordingly an application for refund would be processed as per following parameters: | | i) | Request for refund, if any, is to be made within 15 days of admission or commencement of classes whichever is earlier. | | ii) | In case a request is made within the said stipulated period, the candidate shall be entitled for a refund of 80% of the tuition fees paid to the institute. Application for refund beyond this period will not be entertained. The remaining 20% will be retained by the institute on account of administrative charges or expenses incurred by the institute in the entire process. | | iii) | Admission fee is not refundable under any circumstances. | | iv) | The security deposit is to be refunded within one month from the date of leaving the institute, if there are no dues pending against the said candidate. In case of pending dues, the security deposit would be refunded after adjusting the amount of outstanding dues. No-dues certificate has to be obtained from all the concerned departments, including library, hostel and Chief Instructor's office.
| | | | |  | | Hostel Facility | | Separate hostels are available for boys & girls at every location. Interested candidates, who want to avail such facility, may contact the admission in-charge. The rules and regulations of the hostel is the sole discretion of the hostel authority.
