Feel immense pleasure and great satisfaction with academic excellence and outstanding performance of the Indian Institute of Aeronautics Group which is consistently contributing to the nation by providing high level of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Training for the aviation industry. IIA was established in 1982, at Patna Airport, Patna with the objective to provide best AME training in the eastern part of India. Within a short span of time, IIA has gained its reputation and shown outstanding performance in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence Examination which helped me to take decision to commence the AME training at various part of India to act as effective AME institutes on national level.

The technology of aircraft has substantially changed and will also change in future too. The modern aircrafts are pressurized and fully fly by wire system with latest turbofan Jet Engine. The maintenance of these aircrafts requires highly qualified AMEs with strong foundation of basic concept. Our technical experts induct all possible training aids, simulators, CBTs for achieving highest possible AME training standards as per the need of industry and technology. I am proud of former students who are working in majority with the engineering department of the Aviation industry.

In current year the Indian Institute of Aeronautics Group has inducted DC-3 Heavy Aircraft, modernized Learjet pressurized aircraft, EC-120B Helicopter and SA 318C Helicopter exclusively for AME training . These aircrafts shall also be used for On the Job Practical Training(OJT) purpose. Induction of some more aircrafts in next financial year and onward has been decided.

We are confident that IIA Group will serve the nation continuously through providing the sufficient trained technical manpower for the Indian Civil Aviation, in view of the future growth of aviation industry and demand of qualified AMEs.
